Situated in northern Gorkha district Nepal.  Tsum Valley popularly knows as the ' Hidden Valley' disc by the Baudha Himal (6692m) and Himal Chuli (7893m) to the west Ganesh Himal (7422m) to the south and Sringi Himal (7161m) to the north. Tsum comes from the Tibetan word ' Tsombo' which means vivid. Traditionally Tsum valley was a culturally distinct geographical area called 'Tsum Tso Chucksums' which means thirteen provinces rules as a single territory. Situated at an altitude arise from a 1905m at Lokpa to over 5093m at Ngula Dhojhyan Pass on the tibetan border. The valley occupies an area of about 1663 km2. This includes two remote villages' development committee Chhekampar ' Upper Tsum' and Chumchet ' Lower Tsum'.

How to Get From Pokhara Nepal to Varanasi

Next destination Varanasi !!! Are you planning to visit Varanasi India ? And still you are confused how to go there. There are two major way as your choice depending on what advantages you are considering comfort, adventure, experience or fast.





1. By Bus & Train


Public bus is on of the cheapest way to take you to Nepal and India Border called ( Sunali ). Bus departure daily from Tourist Bus Station Pokhara at 06 : 30 , 07:30 and 08:00 am or you can take evening or overnight buses from Local Bus Station Pokhara. The approximate duration is 6-7 hours to go Sunali. After visa application take a Bus or Jeep to Gorakhpur trains station approximate 3 hours driving, and Gorakhpur to Varanasi by train. Trains leave early morning 5:30, 6:30, 22:30, and 23:05 travel time 5-6 hrs but pre-booking is advised several days in advance.



2. By Flight


Taking a flight down to Varanasi is definitely the most convenient way when it takes approximately 50 min ( unless the flight is delayed ). There are two airlines direct flight from Kathmandu to Varanasi , Buddha Air Tue/Thu/Sat/Sun ( flight time 15:00 ) and Air India Tue/Thu/Fri/Sun ( flight time 14:25 ) and of course you can take domestic flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu. There are several domestic flight operating daily and direct to Kathmandu ( starting morning 8:30 to every half an hour till 16:30 ).


Note: It is advisable to book your ticket well in advance, especially during the high peak tourist season of Mar to May and Oct to Jan when most flights run full.

1. Avoid using Shoes

Before entering a Nepalese home, Temple (leather items in Hindu Temples), and monastery remember to remove your shoes, specially on village. Leather articles are prohibited in most religious places.

Avoid eating with your left hand and do not offer food from your plate, nor eat from a common pot, and avoid touching your lips to a shared drinking vessel.

9. For you convenience the deadline for contacting the Immigration Authority is mentioned in the receipt.

10. The receipt also reminds you about the documents you have to produce before the Immigration Authority.

11. You have to contact the Immigration Authority within 15 days of the submission of application.

12. You have to contact proper Immigration Authority with the receipt and documents as mentioned in the receipt together with necessary fee.
